Litelights offer a remarkable system of integrated reflector and accessory adaptors.  All the reflectors and adaptors are based on a simple collar which quickly locks around the LiteLight head, securing it firmly into place.  Changing a LiteLight head from one reflector to another is as simple as loosening the clamp. unplugging the modeling lamp, and pulling the head from one reflector and sliding it into another. 

     The 6” and 7” Bullet Reflector accepts a LiteLight Head and is equipped to accept two 25W, 25T8 modeling light bulbs (included in the base price).  Included with the head is a “shower cap” diffuser.  Certain applications, based on desired width of light pattern, may require the LiteLight Flash Tube Extender.  The 7” reflector also accepts standard 7” accessories, such as grids, barndoors and gel mounting rings from various manufacturers.  The 6” and 7” reflectors are thermostatically protected at 110 degrees Celsius (230 F) and will temporarily shut down the modeling lamps if that temperature is exceeded.

     The Deflector Assembly (Fits all LiteLight Flashtubes) is predominantly used in the 16” reflector.  However, because it slips on all LiteLight flashtubes, it can be used with the soft box to help tone down the soft box “hot spot” for more even light on the subject.  (Please see the Softbox section)

     The Flash Tube Extender (shown separated for effect only) is an interesting option for the 6” reflector as it allows expanded movement of the flashtube within the reflector, thus varying the light spread.  The Extender slips freely into the locking ring so the light pattern can be easily changed.

                                                                        The 16" Reflector

     This is what we call our "Marilyn Monroe" light - a glamour photographer's dream.  The Reflector (figure 1) produces sharp edged shadows.  If the shadow needs to be softened, a deflector is available and quickly attaches to the flashtube (figure 2).  If still further softening is desired, a shower-cap diffuser is available (figure 3).  With the addition of several diffusers the reflector literally becomes a small soft box.  This combination can be used by the photographer for many dramatic lighting effects.

     The 16" Pan Reflector can be equipped with several modeling lamp sizes, and is available with an optional modeling lamp dimmer system.  The 16" reflector includes a deflector assembly as well as a 'shower cap' diffuser.  The Universal Stand Bracket is highly recommended for optimum results.  The 16" reflector is thermostatically protected at 110 (C) and will temporarily shut down the modeling lamps if that temperature is exceeded.
